Teen Wolves

I don't think teen wolves purposefully intend to be confused with wolf therians. I think it's just a thing that happens. Truth be told I think a majority of teen wolves don't even know what a wolf therian is. And yes I've admitted embarrassed on here before that teen wolves were how I made you link to therianthropy. Granted I was never a teen wolf. I think they do fall under the goth umbrella and the best way to deal with them is to ignore them, or if ever asked if you are one take the opportunity to kindly explain that you aren't and then about your therianthropy.
We out of all people should understand what it's like to be treated differently. And should just let them do what they want, I mean they're just dumb kids right? Let them be kids.

Then again I see a lot of people who fit the "teen wolf" stereotype on Instagram tagging their "emo" selfies with #wolftherian and #scene and #emo and whatnot.

At first I was just going to say that kids can be kids, and people will almost always associate themselves with animals when it comes to these sort of "possees" and whatnot, but now that I can see they are actually calling themselves Therian I can see why its a problem and why its infuriating to wolf therians.

Really it aggravates more than just wolf Therians, but I especially feel bad for wolf Therians because of the direct impact.

And don't go after these people. I once posted a screencap of the Therianthropy tag on Tumblr with the caption "if you're a Therian and you feel like using the Therianthropy tag on IG: don't." It was me pointing out the issue with teen wolves with humor. Unfortunately, my post got reposted by a famous account on there because their pictures were in the screencap (this person), and I shit you not, I had EIGHT people come after me and start arguing with me WHILE I WAS AT WORK ON AN EIGHT HOUR SHIFT. The only evidence I still have left of them harassing me is [here] and [here].

Ever since then I am incredibly bitter about teen wolves and would rather see the entire fad buried 6 feet under forever.

Unfortunately, so long as wolves are romanticized, I will be tormented by these people existing and making me look like a joke. So I do my best to try and correct misinformation where I can. I tolerate them online so I don't invoke their wrath again, but I still think all of it is dumb BS.

Everything Wayward said. A lot of the teen wolves I see online are toxic like that. That's not to generalize them, but just a lot of them that I've seen are like that.
If I'm being honest, they really irritate me because of how many give wolf therians a bad rep, but I can't say that about all of them because not all of them are therians. Some are just trying a style, and I have no problem with it in that case.

Personally I don't care if someone's a teen wolf. I don't care if someone wears black and does heavy make-up. I don't care if someone wears a collar or is even attached to an owner by a friggin' leash. For all I care they howl at the moon and shit in bushes.

But treat eachother with respect and don't be an ass just because you are a teen wolf and hate world or for whatever pathetic reason. And certainly do not compare therianthropy to being a teen wolf. Just don't.
