Here's a theory...

What if the reason we (or some of us, idk) have animal souls is because something was wrong with ours, maybe before or during birth or something. It could've been incomplete or something of the like. Of course, this theory can apply to any spirit fusing with yours; be it human or nonhuman. Maybe there's a name for this already but I'm not sure. Why it would be an animal specifically, I don't know. Maybe you guys might be able to build more onto this theory.

Again, this is a theory and nothing else. It isn't meant to be used as anything official.

I've heard theories like this before, where two souls would supposedly "merge" togheter into one body because of one reason or another, creating one "essense" or "soul", or whatever you want to call it. I personally know one person in the kin community who follow this theory and believes it is the case for her own identify and core belief.

I don't know about souls. But I feel like I was born with a broken mind. So... kinda makes sense to me.

Interesting. Yeah, I'm sure it could be possible for some people to have this reason. But, I don't think there is an all encompassing explanation for every single individual.

I was born 2 months to early, maybe my soul wasn't ready jet or something.

My idea is when a soul dyes and the soul is not satisfied they can live this life again in a new body, this world is like a purgatory theory

But I do believe fused souls is possible as well because though unlikely it makes sense.....

There is no such thing as a spirit or at least an individually discriminable one as you can determine from the dissection of components that make up the mind, so no. The idea of souls as stuff-like is out of line with the fact that the quantised structure makes up everything in a individual, from thought to form, the thoughts that arise the individual are all physical. As for how quantised structures are self-experiential as one individual and not the other (and also not philosophical zombies) is another topic, though there are modernly sound theories as to why that is and I have a good general idea myself. Such theories behind consciousness include post-CEST and post-Orch-OR which are the result of the observations that compromised progressively the likes of materialism and panexperientialism via quantum theory, observed evolution and neuroscience.

I was born 24 weeks early... with severe probeblems... aka "the miracle" as mum calls me.. I had a bleed on the brain... so, maybe that had something to do with it?
