Update to Rule 24 + new Sub-Forum

Hey TG!

We have heard your concerns that the previous Rule 24 was too stifling. While it was never intended to silence the experiences of systems, or to insinuate that it was something only adults could experience, we recognize that the wording of the rule left much to be desired.

As many of you who have been in the community know, the rule was initially passed with the intent of preventing arguments, protecting systems from invalidation, and keeping TG on topic, as well as preventing the spread of misinformation and abuse of accountability. While our hope to protect members remains the same, we've realized that the previous limitations were too harsh and made the forums less accessible to those whose experience of therianthropy directly related to their plurality.

Therefore, after discussion amongst the team and some very helpful feedback from members, we have made significant changes to the rule, alongside the creation of a new sub-forum specifically for the discussion of plural alterhuman experiences.

This sub-forum was made to support discussion around the alterhuman experiences of systems (such as those with DID and OSDD), as well as spiritual or metaphysical plurals (such as tulpas, inner animals, daemons, or similar, who may not have felt their experiences were covered elsewhere), whilst ensuring we can better moderate and promote discussion in a peaceful & thoughtful manner.

Our new Rule 24 is worded as such:
24. Discussions of plurality, DID, and other like conditions are to be kept to the following subforums: the plurality subforum, adult subforums, team spaces where the staff allows, or personal journals. Indicating who is speaking is permitted in all spaces. Our reasons for this rule can be found in Explaining the Community Rules of Conduct.

A new, enhanced explanation can also be found in the aforementioned link, which better explains what is permitted and why these rules came about.

This new sub-forum can be found under the Other Communities board, and is called Plurality & Other Identities.
Some guidelines for the sub-forum can be found in the pinned post here, so please give them a look. It is also now open to all members, so feel free to post there at your leisure!

We hope that these clarifications and additions can help systems to feel more welcome within the community, as they always have been, and encourage healthier discussions surrounding their alterhuman experiences. A special thanks to those who reached out personally with feedback & suggestions, and thankyou to the community for being patient with us while Staff found a way to implement these changes thoughtfully!
