Lol, I agree with Wayward and Vukasin, there are no "therian hunters", that's just ridiculous. So, no worries hehe. ^^ Also, just to kinda add to what Wayward said, YouTube isn't a very reliable place to get info on therianthropy, so be careful.

Today (6/16/16) I watched a video titled "Therian Safety + Therian Hunters" by
Adrian D.E. AshPaw. The video is pretty harmless and actually very helpful. I just got scared on the therian hunter part.
She starts talking about therians and what it is to be one. Then came the hunter part of it. She said that around this time of year (summer to fall) there are therian hunters out there.
I was wondering what she meant by a "therian hunter". She explained that they harass therians by pulling on their tails and neckwear. I thought that this is sad, why would anyone hurt someone, therian or not.
This then leads me to one thing, are therian hunters real? I'm asking this because in Idaho there are not many (almost no) therians around.

Il keep an eye out, but I lack in romantic feelings and prefer to protect fellow beings and be 'married' to my dog instead. Irl I would not count myself as a pup but I am young still but very mature and a wise being.

People 12 and under aren't allowed to join anymore, and anyone between the age of 13 and 16 is a "pup" on here.

Of course I will report any suspicious activity... However, there HAVE been cases where young kids put their age, where they live and photos out there, and people HAVE hunted them down. I think it's a little risky to say that it won't ever happen, because it most certainly has.

Hi,
The law and actual safety are two different things.
In my experience having taken care of safety for a while on this site, the vulnerability is not so much in the personal information being shared, but in what you allow the other person to do to you willingly. Nobody is going to hunt you down because you filled out your age and the state you live in, intentionally flirting with some guy on the Internet, who claims to be your age though, is a different story.
We will take care of legal requirements. But what is important is that you understand that there are people on the Internet who are willing and capable of using you for their twisted purposes, and making you feel guilty for it. Just keep and eye out and immediately let a mod or admin know if you see anything suspicious or inappropriate, even if the person in question seems to be a friend. You must tell us so that we can protect you. And don't worry.. you can't go wrong and we can keep a secret.
LP,
Dusty

Underaged children on social platforms give their rights up to their parents or guardians to decide. Yes, ultimately the physical choice is up to whoever has access to the account, but an underaged (I believe it's under 13, but I think there may be additional laws beyond that,) individual should not be allowed to make that choice themselves without parental permission.
It doesn't matter if not "everyone" does it. If it's allowed to be shown, that is that much more risk to safety.
Edit! I looked it up more... Apparently it's against the law to enable children to make any personal information publicly available. Even if parents have given permission. Not good... It would probably be the safest route to delete all personal ID in your profile if you're in the pup category :/
