I say its fine to put TW/CWs on things, and things such as graphic descriptions of suicide, self harm, gun violence, just stuff that's extremely intense should be expected. I'm personally not triggered by these, but I know people who are very triggered by talk of graphic self harm.

while there is no such thing as a therian hunter, there are people who will harass and bully you in public for wearing gear, so be careful.

thanks for this! I'm thinking of starting a therian journal, and all of this makes a lot of sense.

RE: Growth of "Awakenings" of Therians recently because of TikTok / Instagram

the amount of misinformation on tiktok is honestly putting actually newly awakened therian to shame. I don't think quads or gear are very linked to it, and I honestly think that its less of a problem than some people act like it is, but its still really upsetting.

I think its used to describe when someone identifies as an animal involuntarily on any level, and in my opinion, this is something that can be confirmed. Although sometimes I doubt myself (and that's a good thing, it's good to question your beliefs from time to time), I remind myself that "normal" people don't feel wings or get zoomies in a way that could only be described as cat-like.
Either way, I know for sure that I am a therian. At the very least, I know for sure that I am aligned with what I consider to be a therian - and that is enough for me.

I used to be obsessed with a youtuber by the name of Wolf Girl. She claims to have spells that allow Shapeshifting. I was utterly dissapointed when I found out, none of them even work.

I really cannot answer the question in a satisfactorily manner; I simply..am.
I don't go out of my way to flaunt it nor -if filling out a form- will I put 'Demon' as a race or whatever. In this life I am human and as such I am restricted by human biology. My 'demon' aspects came to the fore years ago but I misidentified it but now the term 'demon' seems to fit.

In a past life I was -most likely- a being that people here call 'demon' (not the evil biblical metaphors) just as I was a different being in other lifetimes; why the demon aspects have bubbled to the surface of my consciousness is unknown but it is there and I just accept it. Again in this life I am human and biology compels me to act as such as I cannot act any other way but it might help to explain the way I feel when among society and though I treat others respectfully I have and still do feel like an alien in a world that makes little sense.

I do agree with your opinion and view on therianthropy. I do think that some people take it very seriously which is not a bad thing but again it doesn't define your whole personality or traits. It is simply a part of you that you learned to accept.

I also understand preople who are new to this community and can be hyperfixated about therianthropy for a while because this happens often but like I said, your whole life does not resolve about therianthropySmile

This is highly reasonable, and even though I can relate to the critters under the age of 13, doesn't mean is's the right decision.
Yes, people setting their age as a younger age (which I do on another site. In the search bar it shows people 13 and over, and to prevent easy acsess I always set my age as 10-12, but that is for a good reason) does help protect identity, it is not to be taken advantage of.

  Falsifying Ages and Repercussions
Posted in: Announcements Posted by: Cygnus - 2025-04-03 0:05

Hey all,

As many of you likely already know we've been having a lot of incidents recently involving those attempting to access the site by lying about their ages. Up until now we've tried to take a forgiving approach to the problem by giving them the chance to own their mistakes and publicly apologize on the forum. I have spoken with some of those who did this, and I understand they wanted community and were encouraged by friends to lie to try to get in.

This issue however is quite serious for a number of reasons:

1. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires that we do not admit those under 13 onto the site. TG could be sued and/or shut down for violating it, destroying this home that we have tried so hard to give you (See: Here).

2. To prevent minors from masquerading as adults and accessing adult spaces, which could lead to innapropriate interactions or accusations and put our adult members at risk.

3. To prevent adults from masquerading as minors and putting the actual minors under our care in danger.

So these are safety issues, and it's our job to keep this place safe for all of us.

I have attempted to make it clear in the past that these attempts to bypass this aspect of our activation screening would eventually lead to others being banned over it "in the future".. Well, the future has come, and now we are banning someone over it.

If you have questions or concerns you may contact me or one of the other staff, or use the Write to Staff forum.

Regards,
-Cyg
