Are we allowed to say who's fronting in pms/ps and have a normal discussion in shout then? I still find this new set of rules stupid.

Quick question (unlikely to affect me due to my systems nature but moreso for others) what would someone do if an Alter was fronting? Like would it not just get confusing if they can’t explain they’re a system or alter and that’s why this is happening or-?
Sorry if I’m misunderstanding the rule at all ^^, I still think it should help to reduce drama which is good. I’ll agree with Caramel in that I reacted a lil badly to this at first, but now that I understand it it seems reasonable.

Discussing who is fronting, adding a suffix, etc already wasn't allowed as per rule 8.
Ahh ok, thank you for clarifying!

Honestly, I’m glad this rule is being made, I’m just fed up of the fake claiming at this point. Even tho it definitely affects me, I just hope it reduces drama. I’m glad it’s still allowed in journals tho ^^
Quick question (not likely to affect me due to my systems nature but moreso for others) what should we do if an alter is fronting? Like would it not be hard or confusing to explain that they’re an alter or system if we cannot discuss topics of multiple personalities? Also does this change the meaning of rule 2.8 at all?
I’ll admit I reacted badly at first, but I understand and respect why this is being done, at the end of the day similarly to rule 23 it should hopefully help to reduce drama, and I’m grateful for that.

The rule was mostly created to prevent drama from taking place by disagreements over validity, so in the spirit of the rule, I think ps or pm is fine. If it becomes an issue, then we may change that, but currently there isn't one.

When I first saw the big bold letters I was immediately angry. I had a large reaction, but I took a minute, read the whole thing, and it makes sense. I'm always quick to extreme emotions, especially when something affects me personally, but I'm glad this rule is being made.
There will definitely be backlash, but I'm sure it'll make things safer. Especially for the pups who seem to really be going through it. I know that a teenager giving you a stamp of approval isn't a huge deal, and it's probably a bit of an eye-roll reading this, but I'm saying it anyway.
Because I can't keep my mouth shut.
Thanks, staff, for always keeping folks best interests at heart, and working hard to keep this a safe space. Well, not a "safe space", but you know what I mean.

New Rule 24 |

After much deliberation, we staff have decided to disallow discussion on plurality and DID among the main parts of the forum.
The rule as written: Plurality, DID, multiple personalities, and other like conditions are not to be discussed outside of adult spaces, with the exception of teams in which the staff member allows, and personal journals, or if the individual is seeking legitimate healthcare resources.
This has always been a loaded topic, much like politics, and almost always degrades into bickering or people invalidating others experiences. We do not wish to exclude or punish people who are legitimately experiencing these conditions, hence why we are not having a blanket ban. For the sake of peace though, we must limit these topics to designated spaces. Since staff members can change over time, if you wish to find a team which allows this as a discussion topic, feel free to post in Write to Staff and ask us.
I realize that there will people who are upset with the new rule, as there are people with every new rule, but this has really been an ongiong issue for many years now, and we would rather people with these issues to be able to talk in designated spaces safely rather then be invalidated by people who are skeptical in the public spaces. Skepticism is allowed on this site, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when it devolves into bickering, it makes the space uncomfortable for everyone.
Thank you all for the understanding.

I think its used to describe when someone identifies as an animal involuntarily on any level, and in my opinion, this is something that can be confirmed. Although sometimes I doubt myself (and that's a good thing, it's good to question your beliefs from time to time), I remind myself that "normal" people don't feel wings or get zoomies in a way that could only be described as cat-like.
Either way, I know for sure that I am a therian. At the very least, I know for sure that I am aligned with what I consider to be a therian - and that is enough for me.
