RE: Your opinions on microlabels?
Apparently the thread I thought I had already replied to on this subject is not the same as this one.

Basically what I said last time was "labels are meant to be used to help explain a part of someone, either to an outsider or to themself. If it isn't doing either, I don't particularly see the point, but it's not hurting anyone so I could care less."

This is still pretty much how I feel. I still think MOGAI and LIOM labels are community building and fun, even if they might not be particularly useful otherwise, which, honestly, they often are quite useful. Just in a more introspective sort of way.

RE: Your opinions on microlabels?
Haven't read what others have said yet, so hopefully I'm not just repeating what someone else has already spoken about, but;

In my opinion microlabels are more harmful than they are good.

With my expirience, most microlabels are simply created for one individual to put their expiriences into words perfectly, for either ease of use or to find others with alike expiriences.
In the end, they are very constricting and have a lot of gatekeeping surrounding them due to how specific they are.

Finding your identity is hard enough, and trying to find the perfect box to fit yourself into is next to impossible. I've had this happen to me before and it gave me such stress and anxiety, and the feeling of not belonging and constant instability in how I felt.

I have found myself being happiest by using vague and broad labels. These labels leave room for change and flexibility in my identity but still describe my main experience. Instead of being omnisexual/a lesbian I now most often go by sapphic, instead of being a suntherian I go by just therian, etc. Identity changes, so why restrict ourselves by microlabels?
If someone's confused by your identity because your label is too vague, just explain your expirience! On top of that, your own explanation could let the other person know way more about you than a one word label can.

In the end, I will support and respect all labels, vague or not. I know that feeling of wanting to fit perfectly into a label, I'm a perfectionist, I get it. But sometimes giving up on that is best for your mental health.
(But anyways, label yourself however you wish! This was my experience and my opinion, take it or leave it. I'll refer to you however you'd like! :3)
