Agreed. We should go with therianthropy and figure out what the correct and most accurate definition is and then go from there.

That said, if we're ditching these outdated, confusing terms, why not start us off by changing your own profile field @DustWolf ?

If you do, I'll delete contherian and sun/syntherian from my website. Wink

There, though perhaps let's not be too rash in our actions. The community has to follow up as well. Smile

If you think I'm wrong just say so. Let's talk about it.

Ooh, I like the Always Wolf, Dusty! Big Grin And I also agree on this. Being a therian is being oneself, and oneself is simply oneself. It makes oneself less complex.

Dusty, is there a version of this that I could repost somewhere like Amino or Tumblr? Given that this is "straight from the wolf's mouth" it would be very handy to be able to quote it.

RE: History of the word "Suntherian"
So, I'm a little confused on what the definition of Suntherian would be, even after reading the thread. This may be to do with myself being sleep deprived, or maybe my autism, but could I have a bit of a clearer definition? Or just explained in a different way?

It's the exact same thing as contherian.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I've read the thread over 3 times completely, word by word now and I can't seem to figure out. You do state a whole lot of times 'the definition is wrong' but never clearly stated what the actual definition then is. Perhaps you did by explaining the reason why the word was created, but I am not able to pull an explaination of the term 'suntherian' from this history sadly.

Now I see this 'it's the same as contherian', yet I'm confused of why you created a new term for the same experience then? As at the first start you said u created a new term exactly because you couldn't relate to the definition of contherian?

Could you perhaps clearly answer those questions, so i'm able to learn better from this thread?

What was a contherian in the past
How is contherianthropy defined in the present
Why did you, shortly, decide to create the term suntherian
What was the definition of 'suntherian', by you, in the past
ow is suntherianthropy defined in the present

Even tho I know a few answers (like how it is defined in the present), hearing it from you might still make me learn and be easier to understand the change and why it's 'wrong'.

All I know about both:

Is that a contherian is (to what I've learned) a therian who's theriotype is integrated. They 'don't shift' but are rather always (part)animal. Always to the same degree

And a suntherian (to what I've learned) is a therian who's theriotype is integraded. They 'don't shift' but are rather always (part)animal. However they experience this on a sliding degree.

I call myself a suntherian (to what I've learned) as I'm always in this human-animal state. I never felt 100% human, and never have for as long as I can remember. However fluctations happen. Sometimes I feel more animalistic, sometimes less.

However now, ofcourse, I'm doubting this as I got confused.

Thank you for taking the time to answer this, and sorry if my answers seem already previously answered or 'dumb/blunt', I really tried to take the answers out of the thread but simply couldn't figure it out.

WOOF!
