This is basically the same thing that people were already asking about having their partner mentioned in their signature.

While I think it makes sense that you would indicate whether you're open or in a relationship... I also don't want this to become a loophole for pups continuing to bring up romantic relationships on TG. So, I'd say it is also not allowed.

You can view it as romantic relationships simply being off topic on TG until you are 16. Nobody is going to look to date you on TG anyways, so there is no point even bringing it up.

I would like to thank the staff for taking action on all this. I am sure they are all tired of hearing the adult lounge complain about the headaches as much as we were of beating the same drums. Thank you and I look forward to things returning more to topic once again.

I'm sorry. With my “theriotype” being a dead wolf I guess I should not be surprised somebody thinks I'm being weird/creepy. But some of the things mentioned in the topic were explicit or could be perceived that way. Young people frequently use terms that have explicit meanings. Romantic attachment and sexuality are generally associated together, to adults.

I mentioned why I have strong feelings about the topic, because of the misery when these animal instincts go awry. Romantic relationships have a level of emotional intensity that can lead to destructive things if people are not mature at handling their feelings. Platonic love generally has less intensity but can still be very deep.

So... besides the “creepy” aspect, there can be emotions some people are not ready to handle with romantic relationships.

Normally I'd say there is no issue with the pretend parents / siblings stuff, because they are clear innocent platonic associations. However I think indicating romantic associations between pretend parents would not be allowed, if you or they are a pup (under 16 years old).

I have no clue what you mean, as the reasons you listed are not why I am in a romantic relationship... I was simply stating that an adult jumping right to sex when they see this is kind of weird. Sure, that may be how it is for adults, but that does not carry over to most pups, so it shouldn't even have been brought up IMO.

WOOO!! Sorry for my unprofessional reply to this, but this has honestly been something that I’ve been yearning for for a while in secret. It’s not because of any personal negativity towards other pups, but rather a belief that we’re all too young for this. It just causes too much drama. Even if I’m not exactly 12 or 13, we’re all still wayyy too young to know what dating is even like. I still respect those who choose to, but it’s a topic that I believe has added a touch of uncomfortablity here to TG. Anyways, sorry if this was rude, but all I’m trying to say is, thanks Dusty
