EDIT: Redacted as I don't think I should be naming names. Mostly for privacy reasons, but also to not start an argument. Embarrassed

That applies for a great many people, including innumerable therians who will not try to rub their seniority in your face.

I know Lycan has been around since AHWw and myself. Please do me a favor and don't call me a greymuzzle. Shake Fist Lol.

I think i would use that term only to describe long standing members of the community... and ironically, i don't really see anyone right now that could qualify to be the "old therian grandpa/grandma" that I see that term referring to Smile
The first time I ever heard the term was at a furry convention in 1998. It's one of those terms that's been adopted by both the furry and therian communities and has a very similar definition in both, that being to describe someone who's been around a while and is usually older, 30+ years of age.

I don't necessarily know if I'd use it to describe someone who's wise or knowledge though as age has very little bearing on one's intellect, knowledge or wisdom aside from the fact that older people have had more opportunity to gather and develop the three. That's not saying that everyone makes good use of those opportunities, though.

As for the preference of being called a greymuzzle or not, I really don't have one. I do have a little grey showing up in my beard so whatever. I don't find it a derogatory or insulting term. I could care less about my age or how it is percieved by anyone else anymore. I know I'm in good shape and that I don't look or feel or act as old as I am (unless I need to) so honestly, I care not.

* LycanTheory rubs long, grey beard, then pulls all toilet paper off roll and rolls around in. Cute

I am a greymuzzle so shut it! Q.Q

Joking XD

Ive been in this community and a few others for a while at this point, but I totally agree with it's misuse. And would only use this as a joke. Even at 8 years (not all as a therian) I am still learning new stuff constantly.

ALL OF US HERE ARE PUPS!!! THE PARTY OF PUPDOM!!!
The comments here are so cute and funneh x)
Clearly I'm the grey muzzle of this community. Tongue

But no, I agree with Lycan and the rest of the commenters. I've never seen the term used, and don't think it should ever really be used - since it ironically has no purpose due to being overused and misconstrued. On other matters...that video made me laugh way harder than it should have. Thank you for that.
