A few things are going on (or will, soon) that we would like to bring to your attention! I'll dive right in.

Sketchtember Ends Soon!

First, a gentle reminder that the Sketchtember Challenge is over next week! Monday will be the last day to submit entries for points!

I'm very proud of all of those who have contributed and I think we've had a strong Sketchtember thus far! I know I've pushed myself some and I've seen others do so, too. It seems like everyone's having good fun with it and learning as we go along. ^^

As discussed last year, sometimes we don't contribute as often as we'd like to because, well... life happens! I'm going to treat this weekend as a "catch-up" weekend of sorts - you still have to do the work, but I'll accept two submissions per day to count for points, to help members catch up a little at the last minute.

You can submit up to two sketches Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday, and if you have missed a day, the second sketch will be treated as a makeup sketch. I don't think anyone is at the maximum potential earnings from this challenge, so everyone can benefit if they'd like. ^^

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me here or on Discord/ Telegram.

Thanks, and happy sketching!

Therian Talks - Cat Chat Episode - Wanna Help? ^^

We're working on getting the Therian Talks back up and running again, so I'm going to invite everyone to purrticipate in a discussion this weekend about the upcoming "Cat Chat" episode!

I'm targeting 15:00 EST (3 PM) on Saturday, September 28 for this and we'll likely use one of the voice chat channels available on TG's Discord.

As you can see in the thread, we've already got some awesome suggestions for questions in the thread, but this will be a last-minute brainstorming effort before I take on next steps. I'm super-bad at remembering things discussed audially, so I'll record the brainstorming session if it's OK with everyone, but it will not be a part of the formal Therian Talk (unless maybe there's a funny blooper everyone wants to tag in, who knows?).

Once we've got a good idea on which questions to ask, we can reach out to see what felines would like to help contribute to answers!

This will also be an opportunity for you guys to give us live feedback about the Talks. We're still learning, and feedback is very helpful for us. Don't be afraid! Help us build something better!

If all goes well, we should be recording the episode in the next few weeks. We're working on various other Talks too, but figured this one would be fun and easy. ^^

You do not have to be a feline to participate in Saturday's chat! Take the opportunity to help us figure out what may be useful for people to know about felines in general.

If you'd like, hop in to the "Wolf Chat" episode thread and give feedback there, too! If the Cat Chat episode seems successful, the Wolf Chat episode may be soon to follow!

It's time to face some of those stereotypes and possibly smack them down! Or, maybe learn that you have more in common with similar theriotypes (or even different ones) than you expected. Who knows?

The end (of this part).

#TeamStripe Intereviewed about Therianthropy!

@Stormdancer and I had the opportunity to meet with "Da Squad" podcast to discuss therianthropy, in response to the podcast's previous episode which we felt needed more information.

You can listen to the episode here!

In the episode, we talk a little about our backgrounds, cover some general concepts, and move on to discuss deeper subjects like the representation of therianthropy in social media or media at large.

Part of this was in effort to try to make people think a little deeper on therianthropy and to give a more relatable understanding of therians in general.

Where did we do good? What could we do better in the future? Do you feel like we represented things accurately?

Our community is working on finding its voice, and doing things like this can be scary. Your feedback is critical, as we'd like to do our best to make sure the community feels represented by our words.

We hope we made you all proud, and if we didn't, let us know what we can do better in the future. We're all in this together. :3
