Hey guys,

Behind this rather clickbaity title, is the link to the book published by our friends over at FurScience.

It's about furries but it contains a chapter about Therianthropy:

(click the little book image repeatedly to get the download)

You definitely should read it, especially if:
a) You claim to know what real therianthropy is.
b) You want to know why there are so many wolves.
c) You think you know what furries are.

As with all scientific publications, it's important to consider some things about what is and what is not a valid conclusion based on the data, etc. The authors of the publication are scientists though and they already took precautions such as taking care of their sample size, comparing their data to data from a control group, etc.

Enjoy.

LP,
Dusty
I'd like to point out that what's included in the Furbook about therianthropy is based on their initial curiosity and research into therians and otherkin while researching furries.

They've, since then, collected much more therian-specific data and are currently in the process of analyzing it all and will eventually publish their findings on their therian page but they are taking extreme caution to distinguish therians from other groups in their study. That said, they're all gainfully employed in other endeavors as well and work on furry and therian research in their spare time so it's a slow but forward moving process.

As far as the Furbook goes, I've got a copy of it downloaded onto my phone and my PC. It's a great read! Yes, being a furry can be just as simple as liking anthropomorphic characters but based on their data, which coincides with my own experience in the fandom/culture over the past 22 years, it can and often does go much deeper than that.

Ooh, neat. Taking a look right now.
Interesting, going straight to my e-reader!

Great to hear they are working on something more therian-specific too. Well worth the wait.
