First, a brief message from our founder:

I started TG back in 2009 and published it in 2010. The whole idea of TG was to create a basic guide that anybody could understand and follow, as well as a fun online community for everyone to benefit from. In case you all forgot, there was a point in time where people like us (Therians) felt very alone and had almost no resources. We felt left to believe we didn't belong with the rest of humanity and came down to a point of feeling misunderstood and ALONE.
And today I stand before all of you, to reiterate and emphasize that very point. Myself and many others have faced the adversity of life feeling very alone and outcast from the rest of society. We feel that our views, our beliefs and especially our identities are often misunderstood and looked down upon by humanity. We are the steriotyped, we are the rideculed and in the grand scheme of things, we are still very much alone.
With that being said, those fleeting moments where we do find peace and comfort in the far corners of the internet, where we find each other, find acceptance, compassion, gestures of goodwill and a genuine understanding of one another, where we are joined and united by a common bond are still very precious and not something that should be taken for granted. Look around you, look at all the different animal people here, therians, kin, kith, we are all very unique and all very diverse in our own ways. We come from all walks of life, all different regions of the globe, different cultures, different experiences and look at every post, it's something unique in it's own way even if many of them are very similar. We all find some way to relate and we strive to understand how one another feels and thinks. These are more than my speculations, these are resounding truths that are self-evident.
Our aim as a community and our purpose as a large, considerate, extended family of societies outcasts, is nothing more than to do what this site's founder had intended to do so long ago. To maintain a safe-haven, open and welcoming to everyone like us. To better the lives of others by extending an insight into our own and to enjoy and appriceate each other for what and who we truly are.
My only request, to everyone who walks through these doors, is to heed the gravity of these words. We are not perfect by any means and there will surely be bumps in the road from time to time but we all travel this road together. So let's remember to take a moment here and there, put our differences aside, embrace the feeling of being a part of all of this and enjoy each other's company, compassion, comfort, acceptance and understanding.
Utopia will never exist...
We're the next best thing.
