Contribution star change
Hello,

We've made some slight adjustments to the way "Contribution" stars are calculated. If you think you've previously had more silver stars than you do right now, that's normal.

In case you missed the post that explains what these even are... Contribution stars show how long you've been an active member of the TG community. A Gold star is awarded for each year that you've been active on the forums, whereas a Silver star is given for each year that you've hung around the shoutbox.

The math that calculates the number of silver stars has been slightly off for a while now and you've been getting more stars than you should have. We've now brought it more in line with actual years.

The change has been proportional for everybody.

LP,
Dusty

Because you've been active in two different years. Smile

@Dustwolf, Just because it crossed my mind:
Would it be possible.. If someone would have joined TG on 30 december and is active the next day on 01/01/... What is in fact a different year, that person will have 2 stars when actually only being a member for 2 days?

Smile just interested!
Sorry if my sentences sound weird!

Possibly, though they'd have to post quite heavily on that first day, for the system to register that as "being active".

Something similar actually happened (but more like 2 months --> 2 stars, though) when we first set up the system, but those people stuck around and made more posts in the year after that.
